The journey of The Castle School Education Trust and The Priory Learning Trust is rooted in a shared ambition to provide ‘a great education for every child.’ Over time, schools across our communities joined these trusts, drawn by their inclusive ethos and commitment to helping pupils and staff “flourish within the unique context and ethos of each individual school.” In 2026, this shared purpose led both trusts to come together as the Pathway Trust, creating a single organisation able to ‘utilise our greater scale to improve outcomes for young people’ and strengthen the support we provide to children, families and colleagues across our growing family of schools.

A Great Education For Every Child
We ensure that all children, irrespective of their individual circumstances, secure essential skills for life such as literacy and numeracy.
We strive to provide a rich and inspiring education through which young people develop their knowledge and understanding of the world around them, expanding horizons and raising aspirations.
Through this we promote personal development, enabling children to flourish both now and in their future lives, with the moral character to navigate the complexity of the world around them.
Our ambition is rooted in the vision for education of the Church of England, which informs the distinctive Christian ethos of our Church schools.
This vision is echoed in all our schools through our shared belief in the wider purpose of education to promote ‘life in all its fullness’ and the power of education to make the world a better place.
